Ella's Art

The other night I was cleaning up after putting Ella to bed and saw this picture on her Magna Doodle. I took it to Amber to ask her what it was since Ella will bring you the pad and ask you to draw her something. She had no idea what it was, she hadn't drawn it.

I took it to Ella and asked her what it was. She said it was her 'phyder' which, translated means it was her 'spider'. Not too bad eh?

Ava Eating a Lemon

We were at the Granto's and they had these pills made from Some kind of 'asian magic fruit' that makes sour things taste sweet. It was pretty crazy, it affects your taste buds for about 15 minutes. I ate a lime and a lemon and they tasted like they had been dipped in sugar. We also drank some vinegar and it tasted good.

We decided to let Ava eat a lemon without the benefit of the magic fruit, she kept eating it.

Layne and Shayla

Layne and Shayla's wedding was super fabuloso. Steve-O couldn't be there but we still had a great time. The wedding was at the Salt Lake Temple with the reception at Thanksgiving Point.

Thanksgiving Point Farm

While we were in Utah we met up with Becky and Lauren to go to the farm at Thanksgiving Point. Ella and Lauren are so much alike. Lauren is the only little girl that gives as many hugs as Ella does. They had so much fun playing together, it's too bad we don't live closer.

Shayla's bridal shower

We had a bridal shower for Shayla. This is when my camera battery died :( & I didn't take my charger....so I'm going to have to narrate the rest of the video. By the way this was Amber's idea...not me Amber but Kurt's Amber...so clever...I love it!

So you see in the video Shayla read a card that said something to the effect of "We wanted to give you this gift from Layne for you to wear on your wedding night. Love, Alisha, Amber, Amber, Amy, Annette and Grandma Roberts!!!!"

Well what you don't see is her opening the gift. She takes out the tissue paper and keeps looking in the bag until she says "there's nothing" at which point we all die laughing. Then she puts it together that we were teasing her! She was a good sport and we are so happy to have her in our family.

Alex and Alicia's Wedding 8.9.08

As you can see this was a busy month of weddings. Steve's sister Alicia married Alex Leinbach on Saturday August 8th, 2008. They are both so happy! I have been waiting to get the rest of the pictures because I didn't have many on my camera...but...I haven't had a chance to get the pictures and it by the time I do...it might be their one year anniversary! :)

It rained at the reception but it was a beautiful and exciting day. Steve got to come home for 3 days to be there when his sister got married. I'll put some more pictures up when I can find Steve's camera.
