Bacuuming...silent movie

Ella loves to do chores and help out. Although her only regular chore is putting the dishwasher tablet into the dishwasher. Steve took some video of her vacuuming the rug. There is no sound on this video & it was taken in "old time" video.

The other night I was cleaning up after putting Ella to bed and saw this picture on her Magna Doodle. I took it to Amber to ask her what it was since Ella will bring you the pad and ask you to draw her something. She had no idea what it was, she hadn't drawn it.

I took it to Ella and asked her what it was. She said it was her 'phyder' which, translated means it was her 'spider'. Not too bad eh?

Ava Eating a Lemon

We were at the Granto's and they had these pills made from Some kind of 'asian magic fruit' that makes sour things taste sweet. It was pretty crazy, it affects your taste buds for about 15 minutes. I ate a lime and a lemon and they tasted like they had been dipped in sugar. We also drank some vinegar and it tasted good.

We decided to let Ava eat a lemon without the benefit of the magic fruit, she kept eating it.

Layne and Shayla

Layne and Shayla's wedding was super fabuloso. Steve-O couldn't be there but we still had a great time. The wedding was at the Salt Lake Temple with the reception at Thanksgiving Point.

Thanksgiving Point Farm

While we were in Utah we met up with Becky and Lauren to go to the farm at Thanksgiving Point. Ella and Lauren are so much alike. Lauren is the only little girl that gives as many hugs as Ella does. They had so much fun playing together, it's too bad we don't live closer.

We had a bridal shower for Shayla. This is when my camera battery died :( & I didn't take my charger....so I'm going to have to narrate the rest of the video. By the way this was Amber's idea...not me Amber but Kurt's Amber...so clever...I love it!

So you see in the video Shayla read a card that said something to the effect of "We wanted to give you this gift from Layne for you to wear on your wedding night. Love, Alisha, Amber, Amber, Amy, Annette and Grandma Roberts!!!!"

Well what you don't see is her opening the gift. She takes out the tissue paper and keeps looking in the bag until she says "there's nothing" at which point we all die laughing. Then she puts it together that we were teasing her! She was a good sport and we are so happy to have her in our family.

Alex and Alicia's Wedding 8.9.08

As you can see this was a busy month of weddings. Steve's sister Alicia married Alex Leinbach on Saturday August 8th, 2008. They are both so happy! I have been waiting to get the rest of the pictures because I didn't have many on my camera...but...I haven't had a chance to get the pictures and it by the time I do...it might be their one year anniversary! :)

It rained at the reception but it was a beautiful and exciting day. Steve got to come home for 3 days to be there when his sister got married. I'll put some more pictures up when I can find Steve's camera.

So tonight was Nisha and Cameron's wedding. Ella had the honor of being a flower girl. She and Ellie (the other flower girl) made a great pair. Ella through the flowers and Ellie followed and picked up all the flowers. It was very cute. Ella was the first one on the dance floor and the last one to leave. My little social butterfly loves to dance. She fell off her chair and might end up with a black eye, I'm not sure yet. Tried to take off her skirt twice...once was successful. Danced with everyone in sight, ate wedding cake all evening and kept hydrated with plenty of juice...hence the slightly red mustach. We had such a great time and are so happy for Cam and Nisha! The wedding was at Milcreek Inn, in the "forest" as Ella would say, it was up Millcreek Canyon and so beautiful. Oh did I mention Nisha looked AMAZING, Cam looked sharp too!

ROCKBAND our new hobby

As most of you know Steve and I don't really enjoy video games all that much. We want to retract that now, we love rockband. Ella really gets into it as well. We don't have rockband but our 2nd home The Granto's (Joe and Cheryl) have it. Cheryl got a little guitar and microphone for Ella so that she could be part of the action as well. Most of the time Ella likes watching her new favorite movie "Toy Stories" (the 1st and the 2nd) as she calls it.
The other day I was driving and I had Jack Johnson on (my fav) and there was a drum solo part in the song and Ella started clapping her hands like a metronome and then said "I don't have my drums, where's Joe?" The reason why I found this so funny was Joe being the quiet humble being that he is was trying to help me on my first set on the drums and started clapping like a metronome but it only made it worse for me but it was so funny to me that when Ella heard the drums she thought of RockBand!

This is when we first got to Florida. Joe is on drums, Luana is singing with Ava, Steve is on guitar and Alicia is playing bass.

Kurt and Amber...this one is for you!

Okay so I we moved last moved last month and I have been slacking. So much has happened but I haven't put anything in the blog. I going to work backwards on what's been happening this past month.

So we bought season passes to Disney World yesterday and spent the day with Alisha, Tyler and his mom & sister, Deetta and Bethany. Ella had a blast, she did the pirates ride, magic carpet, the laugh floor (Monsters Inc.), Buzz lightyear (Toy Story is her new favorite movie that she watches every time we go to the Granto's), and a few others with a lot of eating, seeing the princess' and shows that they have in the park.

Rehoboth Beach

We went to Rehoboth Beach on Saturday. It was sooooo much fun. Had I realized that we had this great beach 90 minutes away, we would have been coming out here all the time. The water was cool but the day was beautiful! Oh, the shops along there are cute too.

If we would have turned the stroller you would see that the whole back seat and underneath was PACKED with our junk...we had to stop at a bike shop to pump up the tires because with all the weight the tires went flat.

Okay, Ava has wore her hair off on the sides...but she still has it on the top and back middle...so she officially has a mullet. It reminds me of Mr T. for some reason. I think I'm going to spike it, she'd make a cute punk rocker...don't you think?

Kurt, Amber, Amber, Ava, Ella & Steve. We are going to really miss living so close to Kurt and Amber. We've had a fun time seeing the sights with them.
